Missional Community Center

What would a missional community center look in suburbian America?
What should it have or not have? What should it be like?

Simply: Make the missional community center that reaches the genuine interest of the folks and ensuring that the equipped missionaries (believers) are infused into each setting. It has to be the hub… the cool place to meet for a friendly connection. If you are in a highly transitory setting people want to make new friends. Your center should have the 'brand' or street reputation of being the first place people want to go to meet new friends. Most of the time it is school sports events btw…

Like imagine walking into a very cool place like this… http://estrellamountain.info/starpointe/ (take the virtual tour).

Then, just have tons of clubs… book clubs, homeschooler clubs, anything you can think of that fits the local interest. One guy in the linked neighborhood started Estrella Youth Sports (http://eyskids.com/contacts.php) complete with pro athletes and now serves thousands of kids in missional sports development.

Here's the key… whatever the community thinks is 'in'… missionize it. Infuse it with God filled people who are equipped with the love of Christ and the gospel. The rest comes natural.

Also, don't leave out the pre-existing networks. Have your fully equipped missional team be active in the local PTA, sports coaches, golf club regulars. Wherever the people are… be there.

I know you're probably wondering abt the "church service". Use the community center conference room for missionary team training and worship. Anytime except Sunday a.m. You missionaries should be playing golf with the neighbors then.
