When I was a kid ABC use to do a Friday family comedy night called TGIF from 8 to 10 PM. I don’t remember them ever saying what TGIF stood for. When I was a kid I remember hearing it stood for Thank Goodness Its Friday. Later I heard it was Thank God It’s Friday. The later was somehow deemed inappropriate for a kid to say. Either way I love the idea of linking humor with a certain day.

Comedy is something central to being human. I have no desire to tackle the issue of what does the Bible say about comedy. If you want to tackle that idea then please do so with your right to comment below. Simply put I take comedy and humor in general as a gift from God to enjoy.

Anyway here is the reason I wrote this blog. What is your favorite comedy show now and why? Bonus if you were around and remember the 80s what was your favorite show then and why?

My answers:
Favorite comedy now? Chuck. It is a nerd becomes spy humorous comedy slash drama. It is one of three shows I watch on TV.

Favorite comedy from the 80s? It currently is a tie. First up is Perfect Strangers. Why? Because of cousin Balki Bartokomous of course. If you don’t remember it google it. It ties with Growing Pains for favorite because when I was kid I wanted to be Mike Seaver. Why? Because he was cool.
